The diagnostic question is no longer why this keeps happening to you. The question becomes: What remains structurally similar when everything else around you changes? Understanding a single event is never the same as seeing the system that produced it.

Case study: When several problems aren’t several problems

An illustrative example of the Y-Screen method.

A note on privacy: our work is 100% confidential. She arrived at a point when several areas of her life had become difficult at the exact same time. Challenges were accumulating. Questions that once seemed entirely separate were beginning to overlap, and her usual explanations no longer provided a sufficient picture.

This is often where the framework begins. It starts not with the past, but with a present that has become difficult to read. The Personal System Map was created to reconstruct the wider architecture around that specific moment, looking at what happened, when it began, and what else was occurring at the same time. It traces where structurally similar patterns appeared before, who occupied comparable positions in the family system, and what changed between one point and another.

The map places chronology, family lines, major turning points, relationships, recurring themes, and existing resources within the same visible field, transforming the entire picture.

Three generations but one recurring axis

What initially appeared to belong to completely different lives began to show an unexpected continuity. Her grandfather Vilhelms belonged to a world of discipline, command, and protection. Diana’s own path developed through creativity, material transformation, and the creation of value. The next generation moved towards law, justice, structure, and order.

These were different people, different historical periods, and entirely different professions, yet they shared a single underlying architecture.

Force → Transformation → Structure

The repetition was not a repetition of events.
